Welcome to Thoresby Cottage, my cozy craft and crochet blog! My name is Caitie and I live in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa.
I grew up in a very crafty household, where no DIY project was too big or small. From sewing to woodwork and jam making, there was always some crazy project underway, and usually the whole family got involved. What fond memories I have!
How Thoresby Cottage Began
This blog started as a way to capture and share that same spirit of making. Over the years, it’s grown into a place where I can connect with fellow makers around the world — people who love cozy crochet projects, thoughtful handmade gifts, and the joy of slowing down with a ball of yarn and a hook.
I’m also a mom, and many of my projects are inspired by the simple magic of family life: crafts that little hands can enjoy, patterns that make lovely keepsakes, and tutorials that beginners can follow with ease.
