It feels a bit weird posting about a scarf when th It feels a bit weird posting about a scarf when the days are getting longer and warmer here.... but I know lots of you have it the other way around at the moment, so I hope you enjoy this little pattern! I crocheted it with two strands held together, which gives a lovely speckle to the finished project. If you haven't tried this technique, then give it a go! . The pre-balled, two tone yarn that I used seems to be discontinued, but you can have loads of fun picking different yarns to do this project. Crochet and cake ~ what a winning combo! We've ha Crochet and cake ~ what a winning combo! We've had builders all week. Stress much! So when I heard that a new @chateau_gateaux CakeAway (take away for cake🍰) shop had opened up in our neighbourhood, I was first in line for a little comfort treat. Quite literally first in line, haha! I had to wait a bit in the car for them to open the doors...😬. The Mozart cake was delicious! It has layers of Japonaise (soft meringue with seasonal tree nuts) and hazelnut praline cream, topped with fine chocolate shavings. Yum! Pair that with some crochet time and I'm a much happier camper. Do you have a favourite go to treat or thing to do when you are feeling frazzled? Tell me! . This stuff is fantastic for crafters! My hands get This stuff is fantastic for crafters! My hands get so dry when I'm making (even more so now with the change in seasons and all the sanitizing...) They take a hammering and I'm not the best at looking after them... I should do a better job actually, as they are my tools! I love a manicure, but my polish generally chips in 5 seconds flat! Anyone with me? . My tube of SEAMS lives in my crafting bag and goes with me everywhere. It absorbs quickly, hydrates and smells lovely too. I'll be sad when it is finished! . How is everyone holding up? Are you in a time of h How is everyone holding up? Are you in a time of high productivity and creativity? Or in a bit of a slump? I find that I can't just switch on "being creative". I'm at my most creative either when the world around me is calm and I have mental space to create. Or when I'm going a mile a minute and I don't have time to sit down and make! There doesn't seem to be a middle ground 😅 This year has certainly been the curve ball that no one expected and it has wreaked havoc on both my creativity and my making time... . Anyways.
